If you’ve got pockets deep enough to scoop up Mercedes’s coveted new G-Class, why not opt for the best iteration out there: the aptly named Edition 1. Newly revealed by Mercedes-AMG, the gorgeous take on the G63 comes decked out in black with a bevy of bright red accents to boot. Naturally, the color scheme isn’t limited to the exterior and hits the cabin of the vehicle as well, most notably coating both the steering wheel and quilted leather seats. On the outside, the wheels also come blacked-out and are of the 22-inch variety with contrasting red brake calipers.

As far as specs go, the Edition 1 retains the G63’s standard 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, offering up 577 HP and 627 lb-ft of torque. That power will get you from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds before topping out at 137 mph, or 149 mph with the optional AMG Driver’s tweaks.
Though pricing remains unknown, expect more details to emerge in March at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.Mercedes has also been hard at work on a new Maybach, taking the wraps off of the all-new S-Class earlier this week.
